CONSERVATION GRAZING

The majority of our stock is now on grass after a very wet winter, and we are now planning our conservation grazing programme for the forthcoming year. In total we currently graze approximately 1500 acres of land all over Kent.

Our next job will be to get the stock out to all their conservation locations this year.

The very rare Vaynols or Highlanders will be back at Teston Country park for KCC, at Yalding fen will be Sheep and Sussex cattle. We will also be grazing other land from Teston through to Barming bridge. Some sheep will also be back at Harrietsham. We also have new grazing this year at Canterbury for Highlanders.

We will continue also to graze for private landowners currently at East Malling and East Farleigh. Anyone interested in finding out more about any of the items in the newsletter - conservation grazing, camping, events or any other aspect of life at Roundoak, please contact Norman (07811209409) and Ruth (07969009509) or the Farm Office (01622 844491).
